Have you heard of the new Dads-only birth classes coming to a computer near you???
The amazing male midwife, Mark Harris, is launching this fantastic online workshop for Dads-to-be (first-timers, or otherwise!) a little later this year…
If you want to be one of the first to experience this man-to-man course, or want to subscribe to his newsletter for Dads, then get in touch, and check out his website birthing4blokes.com
Men need empowering too!
Many mums and dads, and midwives, have practised, and borne witness to, various types of hypnobirthing over recent years, and found the techniques have helped in pregnancy, birth, and way beyond! It is much more in the mainstream, and more and more couples are trying it out for themselves.
In response to that need, Calm Birth and Beyond are launching a particularly user-friendly version called Mindful Mamma. Our launch class will be on 28th May in Haywards Heath, Mid Sussex. So if you are thinking about hypnobirthing yourselves and want more details, then get in touch, or go to their official website to book a space. (Spaces are limited to only 5 couples, so be quick!). SPECIAL LAUNCH RATE £99 (normally £125).

How Hypnobirthing is taking the fear out of childbirth…
Like most first time mums-to-be, when I found out I was expecting a baby, I was terrified at the prospect of actually giving birth to a tiny human. To say that it filled me with trepidation is putting it mildly. There would be screaming and grunting (me), fainting (him), cold metallic instruments, bright lights and lots of blood. That’s how it works, right? Pregnancy would inevitably ruin my stomach and ravage my breasts while childbirth would change me forever. “You’ll probably tear, poo yourself and maybe puke a bit too”, they warned. Awesome. We’re just putting the finishing touches on a new web site.
Back soon 🙂
then you really should read this article from Practical Parenting!
It’s truly inspirational, and highlights once again that women really can enjoy the experience of a calm, pain-free birth. By embracing the underlying concept that our bodies were designed perfectly to birth naturally, and by learning the physiology around birth, and some powerful self-hypnotic and deep relaxation techniques, expectations of your own birthing story can be transformed, and you and your partner can be empowered to “own” the birth of your baby.
We’re strong. We can do it!
For mums without mums, there’s often a big gap in their lives when they have children of their own…
So, in an effort to bridge that gap, there’s a new Facebook page – Mums without Mums!
Hopefully it will grow into something useful and supportive in the weeks and months to come.
If this is for you, or you know someone who benefit from it, please let them know.
The Cracknells: a wonderful end to a tough year was published in the Telegraph on the 27th April 2011.
I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s a beautiful, inspiring birth story.
The more we can hear of these kinds of stories, the better! It goes to show that birth can be an incredibly special, calm experience, and that “self-hypnosis” is just another word for a calm, still state of mind – the state of mind that allows the body to birth as nature intended.
It mentions the Maggie Howell Natal Hypnotherapy CDs, which I have too. They are a fantastic resource and are in complete alignment with HypnoBirthing – the Mongan Method. They can be used to compliment the Rainbow Relaxation and affirmations CD that is included in the price of your HypnoBirthing course.
Liz is back!
Her little HypnoBirthing baby is now 8 months old and sleeping (quite well) through the night, so Liz is raring to go again…
For the next few months, she is currently offering private HypnoBirthing classes for the same rate as group classes in the Mid-Sussex area. That means, for the fantastic price of £250 per couple, YOU can have HypnoBirthing classes in the comfort of your own home. What could be more convenient than that?
Liz looks forward to hearing from you. Enquiries welcome – just email Liz, or call her on 0773 009 7427.
To celebrate the start of the new year, I’m offering 10% off all classes booked by the end of February, irrespective of when they actually start. So if you’re thinking about taking classes, get booking!
